Flutterwave and iPayLinks Team Up to Simplify Africa–Asia B2B Payments

Flutterwave has partnered with East Asia–based iPayLinks to streamline cross-border trade between African importers and Asian exporters. The collaboration uses Flutterwave’s Virtual Accounts to let African businesses pay into local-currency accounts while iPayLinks receives funds in its preferred currency, reducing friction, FX exposure, and settlement delays.

What’s new

  • Local collection, global settlement: Virtual Accounts in African currencies make payments feel like domestic transfers for buyers, while enabling predictable, transparent pricing for sellers.
  • Faster settlement: Funds settle in 1–2 days, improving cash flow for exporters and their payment providers.
  • Lower risk, simpler operations: A single-API integration with Flutterwave helps mitigate operational, treasury, counterparty, and FX risks tied to fragmented African payment rails.
  • Compliance-first approach: The setup supports secure, compliant cross-border flows so businesses can focus on trade, not payment complexity.

Why it matters

Africa–Asia trade has been constrained by slow settlements, unpredictable exchange rates, and multiple intermediaries. This partnership gives B2B merchants a cleaner way to collect, reconcile, and settle—accelerating order cycles and unlocking new markets across both regions
